This is a case in which we received an inquiry to resolve the bridging occurring in the hopper section of a dust collector. The customer sent us the equipment drawings and a sample of the material, so we started by providing a layout proposal for the blow disk based on that. We informed them that there were no significant risks observed with the powder sample we reviewed. The person in charge contacted us expressing a desire to see the actual blow disk, so we set it up on a plate that simulated the hopper wall and sent it to them. The customer connected air to it and observed the air injection and vibration of the blow disk, concluding that "this should work." They decided to proceed with the installation. The results, of course, have been favorable.
